After a mild fall and December, winter decided to arrive after the first of the year.

When I was a kid, going out to play in the snow was amazing. I swear I was outside for hours finally coming in when I needed some hot cocoa to warm me up. The reality as a parent is 15 min of getting them ready, 15 min of play (including one or more mitten replacement), 30 min of hot cocoa and 15 min of clean up. Still worth it.

I love our climate in Wisconsin. I get to experience all of the seasons and just as I get tired of one, the next one starts. Well, ask me how I feel in the end of February and I might say we should move somewhere warmer. But I won’t mean it.
