We went to the zoo yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny spring day and I was glad to spend it outside.

We even found another Asa :

And his birthday is the day before our Asa!

Another surprise was found on the way out of the cat building. They have a kitchen where you can see what they’re preparing for the big cats. Usually it’s all ground beef and supplements. This time it was whole rabbits.

We couldn’t help but notice that these don’t really look like meat rabbits but some questions are better left unasked.

When I got home from the zoo I took the opportunity to take a picture of our magnolia which is in full bloom just in time for a winter snow advisory today.

None of the promised snow has arrived yet so maybe the blooms will last a bit yet after all.

The snow did arrive, just not as much as promised.
