Asa and I went for a walk this morning to get more breakfast food. He likes these packaged, shelf stable waffles. I haven’t tried them but the texture seems weird. He puts Nutella on them. We also stopped for a baguette which has become a daily ritual for us. He can now say “bonjour”, order his baguette (une baguette s’il vous plaît) and then “merci”. He is going to try going to get the bread alone one day soon.

Here you can see the Notre Dame of Strasbourg. It is under construction so you can’t climb it right now but we will stop back another day to get a closer look. It rained again today so we didn’t stay out long. We went to pick up our iPad from the repair shop (screen was cracked and getting pushed in) and to pick up our “Pass Alsace” which gives you a discount on things to do in this region.

The chocolatiers really go all out with their window displays.

Still seeing lots of these trees everywhere.

My mom found a sign about them. It is called a plane tree. It has a maple leaf and this sign was placed by a particularly large specimen.

Interesting fountain.

Walking the riverwalk.

Our walk eventually took us to the other side of the cathedral.

Later my mom and I walked to the store to get a few things. I lost my toiletries in the hotel in the UK so I needed to replace them. This seafood display caught our eyes since it had so many things we had never seen before. Lots of whole fish with the heads still on too.
Some nice music on this rainy day.
