We went to an indoor/outdoor play place called Youmboa today with Marie and her kids. We weren’t expected in Dijon (our next location) until after 6pm so we wanted something to do for the day. Marie suggested this place and I’m so glad she did. I had to drag the kids out. I think it’s harder for them to leave places they like because chances are they won’t go there again.

Check out Asa as we enter. The excitement is palpable.
The kids had a lot of fun with this three level elastic web thing you see below. Asa and Esme made a game of falling through the holes to the bottom.

We love the excitement of these not overly safety-fied play areas. For example this toboggan run that would never fly back home.

For a little extra you could ride these go-karts on a tiny indoor track.

After playing for a while we ordered lunch complete with ICEEs. After tasting Nova’s, Esme wanted one too and Asa went along to help her order one.

They also had trampolines, slides and inflatables.

Then we went outside to see what was out there. They had pedal style go-karts and a couple of ropes courses. One for big kids and one for little kids. Esme loves these and she did both.

Before we left we went back inside. School had let out and a bunch of school-age kids arrived. Cal and Asa got some much needed big kid play time even though communication was a bit of an issue. Despite that, they cooperated with the local kids and made a giant Lego fort.

It’s too bad we can’t go back but we hope to find more places like this to burn off energy and try new things.

I’m not commenting on every post, but I’m reading them all. Love that you are keeping up with the blogging! You will appreciate having this to look back on too.

I’m thinking of making it into a coffee table type book (I think there are apps that do that) for us all to look back on.
