The one with two Esmes

Today we planned to go do a ropes course near our Airbnb but we woke up to rain. I decided we would just head to our next host’s house at check-out.

We stopped to look at this ?? I actually don’t know what it is. Maybe an old castle?

Our drive was about 3 hours plus stops and we arrived at our next host’s home around 3pm. The problem? Our host was in Paris due to a misunderstanding. She helped us locate a campground about a block away from her house that has mobile homes for rent.We love this place. It has 3 pools, several playgrounds, a beach, bike rentals, a little grocery store, ping pong, foosball, a bounce house…need I go on? It’s a kids’ dream come true.
It’s run by a Dutch company so about half of the people staying here are Dutch including a little girl we met named Esmée. Apparently, it’s a fairly popular name there. There are also Swiss, French and British people here.
We decided to eat at the restaurant since it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I got the menu du jour and the kids ordered off of the “snack” menu.

My first course, 3-cheese bruschetta. Mozzarella made sense. I’m not sure about blue cheese and goat cheese but I ate it.

Asa decided to fold up his pizza before eating it.

Cal ordered fried meatballs and cheese souffle. The souffle was not what Google described but Cal liked it.

We are used to eating dinner later now so we arrived the restaurant at 7:30 pm. We followed dinner with ice cream treats. Now, the girls are playing inside while the boys run around with other kids outside.
