The one with the cuddly cats

Just behind the campground (up a very steep hill) is our current host’s home. Diane and Jean Claude have their main home and then several others that that have built on the same property. Some of us are sleeping in the main house and some in the studio. There are some really magnificent views from their property. Today’s post will be short and sweet because I’m really tired tonight.

One of their sons showing the kids how to “mine” quartz from these giant stones.

Goûter today included strawberry tartlettes that Nova really liked.

After goûter, we went to the grocery store. It was a big one and hard to not get overwhelmed by the choices. I bought food for two dinners (kept it simple with tacos and hamburgers) to share with our host family and a bunch of snacks… probably too many considering we have to carry everything on to a ferry this week when we go to Corsica. We will have to do our best to eat most of our food this week before we go.

Beautiful sunset as seen from the front door of our hosts’ home.

Diane and family have 5-6 cats (one comes and goes) which the kids have been enjoying very much. The girls are especially excited for the cats to sleep with them.
