Everyone was really excited to get to Grandma and Grandpa’s house yesterday at about 6pm.

We went for a short walk after dinner (or late night snack depending on what time zone your brain is in). The kids checked the window wells around her house for frogs and toads to rescue and we found one of each.

We all went to bed around 8pm except for Cal who went grocery shopping with Grandma and played on his laptop until 10pm.
We all were awake by 4am (Grandma too because she’s an early-bird). She made us breakfast. The boys were happy to have their laptops back and kept busy with that throughout the morning. Our house guests left around 8:30 so Nole and the kids headed back to the house then. My mom and I went shopping for some basic groceries since our fridge and cupboards were bare.

Today felt a little like moving into a new house. The kids and I saw our house for the first time in 3 months and it was weird. Things look different. “Wow look at all this space?” “Is this how it looked when we left?” “Are these the same countertops?”
Nole and I ran some errands in the afternoon and when we would get back to the van I had to ask “Is this it?” because I couldn’t recognize it in the parking lot.

I ended up taking a nap around dinner time and it was really hard to wake up after only a couple of hours. It’s 8:45pm now and Nova and Asa are asleep. The rest of us hope to stay up for a couple more hours to get back on Wisconsin time (we usually stay up until 11pm or so). Not sure how that will work when Nova and Asa will probably wake up around 4am again but hopefully they’ll let the rest of us sleep.

We loved all the post, but this one had to be our favorite, for obvious reasons…sniff sniff.
Sleep well , and welcome home family!!!
We love you all!!❤
