Hi friends. It’s been a while since I posted. We have been busy with life and work but we did make some time this week for some fun things around Milwaukee.
Thursday we used the zoo pass my work has for employee use. I love this perk! We used to have our own zoo pass but as the kids got older we didn’t use it as much. Now we just pick it up from work when we are in the mood for a zoo day.
You’ll notice an extra family member in our pictures. Anakin is our French foreign exchange student. He’s here to improve his English.

At the zoo.
I had to work on Thursday so we did a lap around the zoo, skipping a few things, and then had lunch before heading home so I could get ready.
The girls went to my mom’s since she had a vacation day on Friday so the boys and I decided to do some running around. First we went to see a used trailer. It’s was $1000 and smaller than I wanted. It also was hard to put up and definitely needed some work.
Then we went to the Milwaukee lakefront. It was about 55 degrees and sunny and a beautiful day to be at the lake. Did you know Wisconsin has 15,000 lakes? Now than Minnesota! We also have over 1,000ft of shoreline with the Great Lakes.

Asa found this rock shaped like Missouri.
We went to the Safe House for lunch and then came home for a short rest.

Then we went to Six Flags for Fright Fest.

Anakin is a thrill seeker and we went on a lot of big rides. Cal went on some but he mostly enjoyed the creepy characters roaming the streets. We bought season passes so maybe he’ll warm up to the rides more throughout the year.
