I got the horse right here

Today we got up early to do the Morning Works Tour at Keeneland horse track. It was a little rough getting up because most of us had less than ideal sleep on Tuesday and some had trouble sleeping last night. Our tour was at 8:30am which felt like 7:30am to us with the time change.

We had our hotel’s continental breakfast and made it to the tour on time. It was a beautiful morning in the mid 70s with the sun shining. The tour was great and the kids were attentive and enjoyed it.

I was taking a picture of the girls by the racetrack and this jockey stopped at let the girls say hello to the horse. This horse hasn’t been named yet and is 2 years old. He will be named when he is bought.

By the end of the tour, the kids were in need of second breakfast. We went to Frank’s Donuts and each got a donut and a drink. They custom fill the donuts as you order them. We went to Thoroughbred Park for a donut picnic and to see the horse statues.
