Universal Studios

6/27/21

On Sunday, we went to Universal. Nole and I had last been there on our honeymoon (almost exactly 16 years to the date) and the kids had never been.

A lot has changed since our last visit but there were some familiar rides too. Nova is at the age where she is afraid of rides and Esme isn’t much of a thrill seeker either. I figured one of us would be sitting out with them for every ride.

Nova waiting for a second ride on Simpson’s after she liked it so much we had to do it again.

Turns out they both loved most of the rides at Universal! We didn’t take them on anything too challenging (like rollercoasters) but some of the simulator rides are kind of intense and there wasn’t any they didn’t like.

I bought a used strolled in Wisconsin for the parks. It’s easier than carrying all the stuff like frozen water bottles, snacks, etc. Plus it was nice to have a place for Nova to get out of the sun and rest.

Her sweet set-up with fans and drinks.

Esme made a friend on the playground and we went to the DreamWorks Dance Party together too.

We walked around and did some shopping.

We split up for a bit and the girls did the animal show with Nole while the boys and I did some more thrilling rides.

We had dinner and by then we had done almost every ride the girls would be interested in. Esme was not feeling up to doing more rides after dinner and Nole was kind of tired too so they took Nova and went back to the hotel. The boys and I did some repeats from earlier and caught an Uber home.
