We started the morning with a couple’s massage. The spa had showers with Kohler shower steamers in them. I NEED one of these some day! It basically turns your shower into a steam room.
After that we started walking towards the closest Jolly Trolly stop with plans to visit Dunedin. Since the trolly wasn’t due for 40 minutes, we took a detour to see the pier.

Our trolly came and lucky us, it was our driver’s first day. His trainer gave us some tips for Dunedin. He did make at least one illegal turn but we made it in one piece.

The trolly dropped us right in front of a bookstore which was awesome because the book I bought last night was pretty terrible. I bought 3 more books–hopefully that will be enough until the end of our trip. Right next door to the bookstore was the restaurant George (our Uber driver from the first night) suggested: Casa Tina

The meal was absolutely delicious! Next we looked around at the shops. They had some cute things in the boutiques but we didn’t buy much. Nole was looking for a new Hawaiian shirt but he hasn’t found one that speaks to him yet.

I liked this necklace but not for $140…the earrings were and additional $100.

We had to stop and check out the one room, free, Beatles museum called Penny Lane Museum.

After a fairly short walk around town, we decided we wanted to take the trolly back and check out our new room.
Our room for the last two nights was free thanks to free night certificates from being Hilton Honors members. There certificates were only good for the “base room” not upgrades so we were staying in a harbor view room with two double beds. Our new room has a king bed and is ocean-view.

The trolly ride was pretty hot and we were not feeling all that jolly when we got back so we decided to hit the pool.

We caught the sunset from our room’s balcony while we got changed for dinner.

We decided to take George’s advice again and try the Bait House for dinner.

The menu is mostly based on the catch of the day. So for example, “catch of the day” sandwich or “catch of the day tacos”. We got the drunken shrimp and catch of the day platter. The shrimp were served in a bourbon sauce and were very tasty. The catch of the day was wahoo and also very good.

To get to the restaurant you walk through a bait shop. All of the seating is outside. We sat at the open air bar. There was even a night heron that flew up to say hello. The bar tender said he visits regularly.
