The one where we saw the house Tom Brady almost bought

Today we had a charter boat scheduled. We knew we would be skipping lunch so we decided to have a big breakfast at the hotel.

Then we walked to the marina to meet Captain Speg for our 2 hour tour. First, he took us to see some dolphins in the intercoastal.

Then we went into the Gulf. We saw a manatee which Captain Speg said is pretty rare especially out as far from shore as we were.

Next he took us to a sandbar in the intercoastal where we could feel live sand dollars under our feet. He told us we could take some home and dry them out but the logistics of this (and the legality) was in question so I put them back in the water.

The next stop was “One Tree Island” where apparently lots of charters go to let their passengers look for shells. We were lucky to be the only ones there at that time and found some big clam shells.

There was still time left so he took us up to north beach and showed us some mansions. One belonged to the lady who invented Spanx and one was almost bought by Tom Brady (ha, ha). We also saw Hulk Hogan’s house. I didn’t take pictures of most of those. Here are some other pictures I took when we were cruising around though.

It was a relaxing and fun little charter if not as exciting as the fishing charter we did on our last trip.

After a short siesta and some lounging by the pool, we got dressed for a fancy dinner out. We picked a place called Seaguini. It was in a beautiful hotel on south beach. We walked there from our hotel. Just about everything on Clearwater Beach is in walking distance.

We were able to eat outside and watch the sunset. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer then split a salad and entree (short rib).

On our walk home we passed the pier from yesterday and it had all kinds of vendors and street performers this time. We found some gifts for the kids including something personalized. We almost never find things with the kids’ names on them and they had Asa, Esme and Nova! Pretty unusual!
