Good Day Sunshine

We woke up to beautiful, warm California sun. Today and tomorrow are travel days. We are making our way back to Las Vegas to return the RV and fly back to Wisconsin.

Esme has been wanted Uno since the trip started. She found Disney Parks Uno at Disneyland yesterday and bought it. The kids played this morning and Nova won the first game (with a little help). Then she quit while she was ahead and let the other kids play.

Our site in Anaheim had full hook ups but we won’t have hookups the next two nights. We made sure to empty the waste tanks and fill up on fresh water before we left. We are just getting used to driving this beast and learned a lot from living in it for almost two weeks. We also found a lot of things that are broken or breaking most of which are poor design choices on the part of the RV manufacturers. If we ever own one of these we will have to see what things need to be reinforced before it’s ever used to avoid things breaking.

A few of us were wanted revolving sushi again before leaving. We found one on our way to our next overnight. Kura is a chain restaurant that originated in Japan. There are locations in Chicago and other cities around the US so we will have to make sure to include a Kura stop on future trips.

We gave the girls lunch first in the RV and they brought an activity book along while the rest of us ate our hearts out. We had a corner seat so we could see the plates coming from far away and we got to watch the sushi chefs work.

We also got gas and groceries to get us through our final days here.

(A nearly empty cold and flu isle at Target today…)

We started with everything in suitcases and eventually unpacked everything. The next two nights we will be attempting to get everything back into the suitcases.

We plan to stay on BLM land again the next two nights. I tried to pick ones that don’t have 3 mile long dirt roads leading to the sites. No guarantees though. I’m not sure about data access either but we should be able to post when we are driving. Cell service has been pretty good on the highways.
