It rained hard all night and when we woke up, our site was VERY wet. It made packing up hard and made all of our socks wet but I was glad the rain had stopped for my drive. I was also glad the car started without issue each time we used it today!
We arrived at Camping de la Joie (Campsite of Joy) at about noon today. It was a 3.5 hour drive and we did it without stopping. After we replaced the battery yesterday, our miles per gallon thingy got reset and said we got about 11.4 miles per gallon pulling the trailer.

We got the camper set up, had lunch, and then went to the Aquarium de Quebec.

It was an awesome aquarium! The kids especially liked the touch tanks where they got to pet sting rays, anemones, urchins, and starfish.

They also had lots of outdoor stuff to do and see which was great because the clouds broke up and it got hot and sunny out. Yesterday they were predicting rain all day today. Rain is expected all day tomorrow so cross your fingers for us that we get another clear day.
An obstacle course with about 10 different stations:

A really cool playground with views of Pierre-Laporte Bridge

These really cool lilly pads you could cross the pond on:

The walruses were super active and fun to watch:

It was about 4:30 when we finished at the aquarium and we decided to go back to the campsite to swim. The lifeguard was awesome and tossed rings into the water for Asa and another camper to fetch for about 45 minutes. The water was cold though and the girls headed to the playground. Asa rode his bike from our site to the pool and back. It is a very steep and long hill and I was super impressed.

We had s’mores while I made dinner (hey it’s vacation!). The burgers turned out awesome and we had corn on the cob which was a real crowd-pleaser.

As soon as we finished dinner the girls were begging to go back to the playground so they walked there while I finished the dishes then Asa rode back and I took the car. Did I mention that the hill is crazy steep and long?!?

The kids and I played games in the campground office tonight and they’re still playing now while I write this. In general the mood has been good on this trip with us each having cranky moments but overall enjoying each other’s company.
