We slept in a little but check-out was 11am so not that late. We took our last shower for a couple of days since the next place is VERY rustic. We dumped our waste tanks and I considered getting fresh water but we didn’t want to haul it all the way to Connecticut so we decided not to.
We never stopped in Rhode Island so the jury is still out as to whether we can say we have been there. We wanted to stop and do Cliff Walk or visit a beach but it just didn’t seem practical with the camper in tow. We stopped for lunch in Lisbon, Connecticut.

We got to our campsite at Devil’s Hopyard without much trouble but contrary to the campground map and website, there is NO WATER. WHAT?!?! Also we have no cell service at all.

We visited the reason I picked this campground, the waterfall just a few hundred feet away from our campsite. Asa jumped right in and Cal joined him a little later.

The rest of us just watched.

You could also access the upper area of the falls.

Asa tried panning for gold with no luck.

We collected some water from the river to use to flush the toilet and added bleach to some to use for dishwashing. We will get some water purification tablets to use for future dishwashing. They are good to have on hand anyway. We don’t have power here so we used flashlights after dark. The campground is pretty empty with only two other campers here and no camp host or parks employees to be seen. The kids definitely want to hit the waterfall again and the weather Thursday looks great for that. 86 and sunny.
