Moab, Utah

We had our well-earned day of rest today.
The four older kids prepared for and played a long and intense game of D&D for most of the day. The next three pictures were taken hours apart.

The younger four made rainbow loom bracelets and used some of Melissa’s Starlink internet to play Roblox together and watch movies on their devices. I took them out during the hottest part of the day. We went to McDonald’s for a treat and Dollar Tree for shopping. The Dollar Tree rules for today: 1) 3 items max 2) nothing too large 3) must be useful this trip or consumable. Esme got all candy. Nova got headphones, a stylus for her iPad and candy.

We also picked up a part for the Yatzeck’s battery setup. They’re hoping to be able to run the Starlink off of their battery so they don’t need to worry about Melissa being able to connect for work.
Melissa worked all day but joined us for dinner and worked on her blog.

Both guys did laundry. The three of us relaxed, talked and did our best to stay cool in the shade.
Joe played DJ, cooked the beans for dinner and worked on the battery for the van.

Nole grilled the brats, checked his work email and went and took the car to get the windshield repaired. The title today is a malapropism (word of the day!) by Nole who meant “Now you’re speaking my language”.

I read a book, took the girls out and worked on the blog.

I think it will be an early night because we have 8am entrance passes to Arches National Park tomorrow so our plan is to wake up at 6am.
