The one whereth thou picketh thine own apples

On Saturday, Asa had a cross country meet. Unfortunately, he missed the bus and Nole had to drive him the 1hr15min to Janesville. By the time Nole got home, it was about time for me to head there to see him run. It was my first ever cross country meet. I was really proud of Asa and although it wasn’t his personal best, he was also proud of his performance especially because he is still getting over a cold.

After his meeting, I ran him home for a shower and dropped him off at work. While we were at cross country , everyone else went to IKEA. When they got back,Jenny and I went thrift shopping with some of the kids. The teens are looking for things to wear for spirit week at school this week. I grabbed some things I thought might work for Asa since he couldn’t make it. Then we all went to eat at Moe’s, Cal’s work. They love Cal at his job. He’s a hard worker and fun to work with.

We played Jackbox games until we were all pretty tired. Nole and Asa started their day before 7am. Plus we had to rest up for apple picking Sunday morning.

We all slept in this morning and made it out the door just in time to make it there at 10:30am. We met up with Giorgio’s fellow exchange students. They also had zinnia and sunflower fields to see.

We finished this wonderful weekend with Medieval Times. The last time we went was also when Mike was visiting; Esme was a baby.

Our knight, the Red Knight!
The final battle

The food was good and it was a really fun show. Four of our party of 9 had never been there before and we all really enjoyed ourselves! We even got to meet some of the actors on the way out. Mike and Jennifer had to get back to Appleton and the rest of us needed to get home to do homework and get ready for the week. It was a really fun weekend that we won’t forget!
