Cat-Con 2025

We took our cat Monty to PopCats, a cat conference, today in Madison.

Last night, Nova and I made this Valentine’s-themed privacy screen for the wagon.

The wagon held a litter box (which was not needed, but better safe than sorry) and a cat bed.

Cal met us there.  Asa is at a winter campout with Venture Scouts this weekend so he had to miss Monty’s Cat-Con debut.

Monty spent most of the time in his “float” and he was a bit nervous when we got there but he eventually settled in.  Lots of people wanted to say hello and pet him and he was very tolerant.

They had lots of fun activities for humans there including coloring, bracelet making, a wand toy craft, cat-related board and video games, etc.

There were photo ops too and lots of vendors.  We found a toy for Monty, some fun stickers, and Nova bought a tote bag with her own money.  The girls each got cat ears as well.

Coincidentally, Cal’s friend was in the same conference center, two floors away, at a Rubik’s Cube event.  His friend is a Rubik’s Cube Champion!

You can see his stats here.  His AVERAGE  time to solve a Rubik’s Cube is 6.09 seconds! https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/persons/2015MACK06

Anyway, Cal got to visit with his friend and his friend’s mom as a bonus.

Nole and I took the opportunity to have lunch with our college boy.  Madison has a vibrant foodie scene and I picked the restaurant this time.  The food was so good, we ordered seconds!

We got back home and Monty took a long, well-deserved nap.  It was fun and we may try to take him out on more outings in the future!
