We started the day with a Mom-Nova-Dad kayak ride. This time we rode out and around an island from our campsite. Yesterday we saw dolphins swimming in this spot but no luck this morning. We did see some Great White Egrets.

No shells collected today but here are the ones we saved from the last few days.

The boys did the dishes from breakfast when we were gone on our ride and when we got back I noticed the gray water tank was full. We don’t have sewer hookups here so we have been trying not to create too much waste water but between washing dishes and washing our hands, we managed to fill the tanks. That meant we had to hook up the trailer and take it to the dump station at the entrance of the campground. It required some packing up then unpacking when we returned and by then it was time to start lunch. I made hamburgers and Nole grilled them up while I made the sides.

After lunch, Cal caught a lizard!

We were about to start dishes from lunch when we noticed the time. It was time to leave for the University of Tampa where Asa had a college tour scheduled. Some of us were still in swim suits from the morning kayak ride but we got ready really quick and got on the road. Luckily, I had scheduled an early enough departure that even though we left a bit “late” we made it there almost a half hour early.
Here are some pictures from their tour. Asa is early in deciding where to go for college and this was one place he liked from the college fair they had at school. When I knew we were going to be nearby, we decided to schedule this.

The girls and I went to a mall. It was pretty upscale and not a lot was in our price range but we had fun looking around. Esme got a new outfit and we all got some fancy chocolate to try.

We stopped at Target to get drinks to have with dinner. The kids have been making jokes about the new Minecraft movie so the girls needed to get a picture with this display.
We picked up the guys and went to the bank to get a roll of quarters for laundry. Then we placed a Little Caesars pizza order and went to pick it up on our way to a free jazz concert at the St Pete Beach Library.

I researched a bunch of options for live music because Cal likes live music a lot. He goes to several live shows a month and especially enjoys jazz and experimental music. We decided on this saxophone quartet because it was free, not too late, and we all could go (no worries about 18+ or 21+ rules). The quartet was fun and played a mix of popular songs from the past including some jazz standards and some hits from the 50s-80s.

When we got back, the girls did the dishes (though not without pain as this is not their favorite task). I did laundry and got some things ready for our BIG kayak adventure tomorrow.
