Asa has a dream to attend a prestigious school, ideally in New York. Today, Cal and I toured Columbia with him. Unfortunately, he was a little under the weather with a bad cold.

After the tour, Asa opted to go back to the campsite and spend the rest of the day recuperating. Cal and I went downtown to meet up with Nole and the girls. Before we arrived they went to the 9/11 memorial.

From there they went to the Federal Hall National Memorial, which is where Cal and I met up with them and they received Junior Ranger badges.

Next, we stopped by Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Hamilton’s graves.

Then we got ice cream.

And visited the famous bull in front of the stock exchange.

Before doing a second Junior Ranger program at Castle Clinton.

We finally got to do a NYC carousel. This one is called the Sea Glass Carousel and it was pretty cool!

We let the kids play at the playground at The Battery and then we ran into Joe and Melissa. We decided to go together to see Ghostbuster Headquarters.

We separated after that. We went back to New Jersey where Nole and I helped the kids find something quick for dinner in Jersey City before all going back to the campground.

Nole and I got dressed up and went out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We ate at “Franklin Social” and the food was amazing. Three cheers for 20 years! Nole and I have been married for 20 years as of today!

We watched a movie on the projector in the camper before going to bed. Our feet hurt and we’re tired which seems to be a theme for every day we’ve been in New York! Sunday I walked 25,000 steps and today, I walked 22,000.
