Last night the sleeping arrangement were Asa and my mom in one hotel room and the other three with me. In my room, we woke up on our own at about 1:00 AM and ended up doing a video chat with Nole (it was early evening at home). We met up with Asa and my mom around 2, packed up our rooms, and met our taxi driver. We arrived at the airport with tons of time to spare. This time we were prepared for the screening process and didn’t get and special screenings. After a quick 1 hr flight we were landing in Paris.

We had these tiny, almost spherical pancakes from the UK Burger King for breakfast.

We boarded our plane from outside.

We arrived at CDG and seamlessly found a ticket machine and bought metro tickets into Paris. After storing our bags in a locker, we walked from Gare de l’Est to Sacre Cœur.

Asa took both of the above photos.
We took the funicular up and then walked around Montmartre for a couple of hours.

Then we walked back to Gare de l’Est, retrieved our luggage and left on a Ouigo high-speed train to Strasbourg.

We stopped at a McDonald’s for dinner (they had macarons and pasta salad among other things!). We walked about 20 minutes with all of our bags to the Airbnb.

Another night of interrupted sleep and long day left everyone a little worse for wear.
We are staying at this Airbnb for 10 nights so tonight, we all unpacked and relaxed. This city is beautiful and we look forward to exploring more tomorrow. Total walking today was over 3 hours and not a single complaint. I’ll call that a victory.

Bee skeps and hives.
