Most of us slept in this morning until 10:30 AM. Nova was up early but kept quiet and let everyone sleep. The first order of business for the day was to get groceries. We walked to Monoprix with a shopping cart borrowed from our Airbnb. After 3 days, we are more than tired of eating fast food.
We arrived at Monoprix and were confused to find a department store. I was sure it said it was a supermarket online. Just as we were about to give up, Cal found an escalator going to a lower level that held the groceries.

Nova had to use the bathroom before we walked back home. Public bathrooms aren’t available in most stores here like they are in the US and many public toilets cost money to enter. Luckily there was a free one to use in the closest square because in my rush to go find her one, I forgot to grab my wallet.

No toilet seat on this public toilet.

We are the most colorful people in Strasbourg. Most people seem to be wearing black or other dark colors. The locals can probably spot us Americans from a mile away.

Asa has been wearing this red beret that he bought in Paris which probably doesn’t help us blend in either!

We found beef ramen at the store and it’s Esme approved!
We came home for lunch and after eating I felt like I needed a nap. Esme and Nova also didn’t want to go out so my mom and he boys went for a walk and an ice cream.
Cal took the following photos on their walk:

He took these pictures yesterday that didn’t make it into the last post:

He’s a little obsessed with the pigeons. He keeps insisting he can catch one because they seem so tame. Right now he is outside trying to feed them scraps from our dinner.

After another siesta, we went for a walk to explore and to get some things we forgot on our first grocery run.

We stopped and each bought a small treat from a chocolate shop.

We made dinner at home and now we are all relaxing before deciding what we will do this evening.
