Albuquerque, New Mexico
After the excitement last night we decided to change our Meow Wolf reservations from 10am to 12pm. I made pancakes for breakfast and we brought out the ice cream toppings because, why not?

The later time actually worked out great because we ate lunch on the way there so we had plenty of energy for exploring.

We tried to stay together inside but ended up splitting up into guys and girls. Six is just too many to be moved together through this place.
When you enter, you start off in a 2 story house built inside the Meow Wolf building. But right away some things do not seem quite right…

There are mysteries to solve here. The story starts with the family who live in the house. The grandson is missing and each family member has information that fills in the gaps in the story. For example, here is the Grandma’s funeral program:

Here is the granddaughter’s homework. Do you see a code?

We discovered that finding the pet hamster was one of the mysteries. We did find many hamsters and right before we left we found out there are actually 24 hamsters.

Here are some more pictures from Nole and I as we chased the kids around this place.

We ended up switching up the groups which helped us share knowledge because our two groups had found different clues.

Here are a couple of videos so you can see how interactive the place is.
We went back to the camper for dinner. Asa grilled the chicken. I’m really getting used to having the boys grill for dinner. We might have to use the grill at home too! Cooking really heats up the camper so we grill out almost daily. We have grilled the meat for everything from fajitas to stir fry!

The girls did the dishes and Cal cleared the table. Nole and I have noticed how much the kids play together on these trips. They have plenty of time on devices too but living in such a small space leads to lots of spontaneous play and conversation between the kids. We made popcorn and watched Ace Ventura tonight and then got tucked into bed early.
An update on Nova’s thumb. The swelling is all the way down and she can move it normally. She wore the splint all day but I don’t think she will need it tomorrow.
